Computing Sciences Rising Scholar Awards

This fund was established by the Department of Computing Sciences to recognize and reward majors who have exceptionally strong academic records in their program and show promise for further achievements while at SUNY Brockport.

Eligible students must

1. Be enrolled in the Department of Computing Sciences and have sophomore standing at the time of selection.
2. Have completed at least one semester of coursework within the Department and intend to complete their academic program within the Department.
3. Demonstrate academic excellence by possessing a 3.0 GPA or higher and as judged by the selection committee. Preference will be given to students who engage in scholastic activities (in or outside the department), such as participation in computing/technology related scholastic competitions, attendance at conferences and colloquia, etc.

This scholarship will be credited to the recipient’s bill in the form of a non-tuition educational expense grant. It must be used for educational expenses and may not be received as cash.
