Gladys W. Queen Future Teacher Award

This fund was established by Gladys W. Queen to encourage an outstanding Brockport High School graduate who is interested in a teaching career and will continue studies at SUNY Brockport. Mrs. George S. Queen was a social studies teacher in the Brockport School District for 24 years.

Eligible students must

  1. Be a Brockport High School graduate who attended BHS for a minimum of three years.
  2. Have maintained at least a 3.0 (B) scholastic average.
  3. Be accepted in the field of education, mathematics or science at SUNY Brockport.
  4. Show leadership potential in teaching.

This scholarship will be credited to the recipient’s bill in the form of a non-tuition educational expense grant. It must be used for educational expenses and may not be received as cash.

Incoming students are considered for scholarships based on their admissions application – they should not apply through the scholarship portal. For best consideration, students are encouraged to submit their application by February 15th.
