Maurice J. Kleiman Computer Science Scholarship
This fund recognizes an outstanding transfer student residing in Monroe County who has been approved for admission to the Computer Science program at SUNY Brockport with junior status. This fund was established in honor of Mr. Kleiman for his 22 years of service to SUNY Brockport. He joined the College as a business assistant and worked in several positions before becoming Vice President for Administrative Services in 1983. Mr. Kleiman also was a founding member and treasurer of the Brockport Foundation Board of Directors and served from 1976 to 1982.
Eligible students must
- Be a Monroe County resident who has completed two years at an accredited institution of higher education and has been approved for admission to the computer science program at SUNY Brockport with junior status.
- Enroll full-time, taking at least 12 credit hours per semester.
- Have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or better.
- Submit two letters of reference, which illustrate the candidate’s promise for achievement at SUNY Brockport and in future employment.
This scholarship will be credited to the recipient’s bill in the form of a non-tuition educational expense grant. It must be used for educational expenses and may not be received as cash.
Incoming students are considered for scholarships based on their admissions application – they should not apply through the scholarship portal. For best consideration, students are encouraged to submit their application by February 15th.
