Raymond C. Shaheen Award in Business

This award has been funded by Mr. Raymond C. Shaheen, who is a member of both the College Council and the Brockport College Foundation and who is actively involved in College affairs which have led to the improvement of the quality of undergraduate programs at the College. The purpose of this award is to promote academic excellence in the Department of Business and Economics by recognizing students who have demonstrated an interest in a career in Marketing through their choice of courses and major.

Eligible students must

  1. Have an interest in business/marketing indicated by course selection and major.
  2. Be involved in either school or community activities.
  3. Have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or better and a GPA of 3.25 or better in the major.

Preference will be given to a junior in good standing, attending Brockport full time, who demonstrates academic excellence in business, with an expressed interest in a career in marketing.

This scholarship will be credited to the recipient’s bill in the form of a non-tuition educational expense grant, split evenly between the fall semester and the spring semester. It must be used for educational expenses and may not be received as cash.
