First Responders Scholarship

Eligible students must

  1. Be accepted for admission as an incoming first-year or transfer student at SUNY Brockport.
  2. Be the biological, adopted, or stepchild of a police officer, firefighter, EMT, paramedic, or 911 dispatcher.
  3. Be enrolled with full-time status at the time of scholarship disbursement.

For this scholarship, a “first responder” is defined as, or limited to, an individual who is actively participating as a police officer, firefighter, EMT, paramedic, 911 dispatcher, or military veteran.

This scholarship will be credited to the recipient’s bill in the form of a non-tuition educational expense grant. It must be used for educational expenses and may not be received as cash.

Incoming students are considered for scholarships based on their admissions application – they should not apply through the scholarship portal. For best consideration, students are encouraged to submit their application by February 15th.
