William P. Manitsas Memorial Award in Art

This award honors William P. Manitsas, Associate Professor of Art from 1947 until his death in March 1983. A graduate of the college, Professor Manitsas was a long time favorite of his associates and students as both friend and advisor.

Eligible students must

1. Be a sophomore or junior in the art department
2. Be enrolled full-time at SUNY Brockport
3. Have completed one semester at SUNY Brockport
4. Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
5. Show a high level of artistic achievement with potential for continuing study in the field of art

This scholarship will be credited to the recipient’s bill in the form of a non-tuition educational expense grant, split evenly between the fall semester and the spring semester. It must be used for educational expenses and may not be received as cash.
