Lathan H. and Alyce M. Lampen Award

Alyce M. Lampen, Class of 1934, established this award in memory of her husband, Lathan H. Lampen, Emeritus, who was an Associate Librarian at SUNY Brockport from 1961-1979. It recognizes an undergraduate student whose leadership and service to others on campus or within the Brockport community reflects the promotion and development of ethical values essential to individual dignity and is dedicated to creating and advancing a humane society.

Eligible students must

  1. Be an undergraduate student at SUNY Brockport.
  2. Demonstrate academic achievement with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and have completed their first full year at Brockport.
  3. Demonstrate leadership skills through service to the College and/or community, with a particular emphasis on creating and advancing a humane society.
  4. Demonstrate ethical values essential to individual dignity and a positive, constructive outlook on life.

This scholarship will be credited to the recipient’s bill in the form of a non-tuition educational expense grant. It must be used for educational expenses and may not be received as cash.
