Patricia A. Ryan Memorial Nursing Scholarship
This fund was established by Mr. Joseph Ryan to honor his wife, Patricia Ryan, who was a Professor of Nursing at SUNY Brockport. Mrs. Ryan was a model nurse who based her nursing care on sound values and ethical principles. This scholarship is designed to assist an outstanding student in the SUNY Brockport baccalaureate nursing program. This student must show evidence of having sound values and ethical principles.
Eligible students must
- Be a full-time undergraduate student in the BSN program entering their senior year.
- Have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Demonstrate a commitment to and potential for excellence in nursing as well as evidence of sound values and ethical principles.
- Demonstrate a range of interests and talents as indicated by participation in co-curricular activities and/or services to the college and/or the community.
This scholarship will be credited to the recipient’s bill in the form of a non-tuition educational expense grant. Financial need will be taken in to consideration.
