MJ Iuppa Poetry Prize

Eligible students must

1. Be enrolled as an undergraduate student at SUNY Brockport.
2. Read a provided biography about M.J. Iuppa and answer three questions related to it.
3. Read a provided package of poems by M.J. Iuppa to gain insight into her style, use of metaphor, and landscape.
4. Submit three original works of poetry informed by the style of M.J. Iuppa: a Haiku, a Cinquain and a Free Verse.

This scholarship will be credited to the recipient’s bill in the form of a non-tuition educational expense grant. The recipient may choose to receive a cash award instead.

The annual MJ Iuppa Poetry Prize Competition is coordinated by the Department of English – there is no application.
