Anne M. Fallon Memorial Nursing Scholarship

This scholarship is in memory of Anne M. Fallon who graduated from the Department of Nursing in June 1983. She was truly an outstanding student and nursing professional who cared for her clients with knowledge, skills, and compassion. She was the wife of James C. Fallon, a Superintendent of the Brockport Central School District, and the mother of four children.

This fund was established to recognize an outstanding adult senior nursing student, who earned a strong academic record, and demonstrates the professional characteristics exemplified by Anne.

Eligible students must
Be enrolled in one of the undergraduate Department of Nursing programs at SUNY Brockport.
Demonstrate academic excellence with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher and as judged by the selection committee.
Be an adult student, age twenty-five or older.
Demonstrate outstanding clinical skills including knowledge and technical competence, communication skills, and compassion.
Have the combined roles of parent, citizen, and nursing student who is involved in their children’s school and community activities.

Preference will be given to applicants who maintain full-time status and those that are planning to graduate in the year the scholarship is awarded.

This scholarship will be credited to the recipient’s bill in the form of a non-tuition educational expense grant. It must be used for educational expenses and may not be received as cash.
