Andrew D. and Sue P. Virgilio Scholarship

This fund was established by Andrew D. and Sue P. Virgilio to encourage a student who has overcome the challenges of a physical or learning disability in order to enroll and excel in study at SUNY Brockport. Andrew is a professor emeritus of SUNY Brockport serving the College from 196 1987. Both Andrew and Sue are alumni of SUNY Brockport – 1949 and 1946, respectively.

Eligible students must

1. Be matriculated, full-time students who have completed at least two semesters of study.
2. Possess and maintain a GP A of 2.75 or greater.
3. Demonstrate financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office.
4. Be willing to serve as a role model to high school students with disabilities; opportunities may include service on a student panel, participation in admissions functions or mentorship of incoming students.

This scholarship will be credited to the recipient’s bill in the form of a non-tuition educational expense grant. It must be used for educational expenses and may not be received as cash.
