Anna A. McGinnis Award
This fund was established to recognize an outstanding student at SUNY Brockport who has demonstrated academic excellence and who has given service to Brockport through participation in co-curricular activities. Anna McGinnis taught in the Rochester City School District for over 20 years. She also taught and coached at SUNY Brockport. At the time of her death, she was the Director of Health, Physical Education and Athletics at East High School.
Eligible students must
- Be matriculated in one of the majors in Kinesiology, Sports Studies and Physical Education at the undergraduate level.
- Have a minimum of 24 credits and a GPA of 2.5 or greater at the time of application.
- Be involved in co-curricular activities at SUNY Brockport.
- Demonstrate good character and leadership in their major and co-curricular involvement.
This scholarship will be credited to the recipient’s bill in the form of a non-tuition educational expense grant. It must be used for educational expenses and may not be received as cash.
