Elaine K. Miller Women and Gender Studies and Modern Languages and Cultures Scholarship
This scholarship honors an outstanding current student in the College at Brockport Women and Gender Studies or Modern Languages and Cultures programs who has demonstrated academic excellence in one of these majors as well as a commitment to social justice. Students must have a GPA of 3.0 or better, and at least sophomore status at the time of application. Applicants should submit a letter of interest, highlighting accomplishments and interest in social justice and gender focus, and should also submit an additional letter of reference.

- Provide an essay, which includes a statement of interest in and commitment to issues of social justice, particularly those with a women and/or gender focus. The letter also should highlight the applicant’s activities and accomplishments and should detail why the applicant should be selected for the scholarship.
