Thomas R. Taber Scholarship

This scholarship recognizes an excellent student in the visual or performing arts programs. Eligible students must be enrolled in one of the visual or performing arts programs, as an undergraduate major or minor, at SUNY Brockport (those programs currently include Studio Art, Dance, Music, Musical Theatre, and Theatre), demonstrate academic excellence with a minimum GPA of 3.0, and demonstrate involvement in, and support of, the arts beyond the requirements of the applicant’s academic program(s).

This is an Auto-Match Opportunity. Applicants are auto-matched to this award based on their submission of their General Application.

The financial assistance is in the form of a non-tuition educational expense grant that may be used to cover educational costs such as room, board or college fees. The award will be credited to the recipient’s bill during the semester(s) of the award period. The student must use this award for educational expenses at the College and may not receive the award in cash.

Friends and family of Thomas Richard Taber in recognition of Mr. Taber’s life-time achievements in his chosen profession, his many contributions to his Alma Mater and his community, and, his commitment, love and devotion to his family and friends. Tom was an alumnus from the Class of 1953, a retired educator, and resided in Greece, NY.
