George W. Cornell Library Service and Administration Award
This scholarship recognizes students who have demonstrated scholastic achievement and excellent work performance to the College Library. The recipient will be a current undergraduate or graduate student at SUNY Brockport who has been employed at Drake Memorial Library for at least one year’s service, demonstrates a high level of academic achievement, and is currently employed at the College Library. All eligible applicants will be considered; however, preference will be provided to applicants who are juniors at the time of selection or will be returning for one more year at SUNY Brockport.
This is an Apply-To Opportunity. Applicants will need to submit one or more additional items to be considered for this award after submitting the General Application.
The financial assistance is in the form of a educational expense grant that may be used to cover educational costs such as room, board or college fees. The award will be credited to the recipient’s bill during the semester(s) of the award period. The student must use this award for educational expenses at the College and may not receive the award in cash.
This award is in memory of Dr. Cornell, Director of Libraries from 1969 to 1985, by his family, friends, and colleagues.
